Oops, I Did It Again!

Addicted to Recovery: The Interactive Memoir
Oops, I Did It Again!
Show Notes

Relapse. The most confounding process in addiction. Why do we keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results? How do we rationalize this process when we KNOW BETTER? What kind of lies do we tell ourselves and others? More importantly, how can we interrupt this devastating pattern, by cutting it in the early stages of relapse planning to outsourcing out better judgment to the resources we have at hand, putting the odds more in our favor.

This episode also explores some basic psychological trickery to disarm the inner saboteur. It's possible to have a less destructive relationship with our own thoughts.
