The Bottle and The Borderline
Show Notes

Stumbling upon a book about Borderline Personality Disorder. It seemed to explain everything! Impulsivity, unstable relationships, mood swings, feelings of emptiness, self destructive behavior, troubles navigating identity... Well maybe BPD could be my identity!

But you know what else leads to impulsivity, unstable relationships, feelings of emptiness, mood swings, problems with identity, outbursts of anger, self-destructive behaviours, and the very real likelihood that people might end up abandoning you? Drinking alcoholically!

There was a real chicken and egg problem, but at a point, you've got an omelet anyways, so what are you going to do about it?

This episode references:

Kreisman, Jerold, and Hal Straus. I Hate You - Don’t Leave Me: Understanding the Borderline Personality. The Body Press, 1989.
